Mr Robert Andrew (Andy) Kidd

Passed away peacefully on 6th February 2026 in Antrim Area Hospital, aged 78 years.

A man of quiet strength, quick wit and heart. Devoted husband of Glynis, his lifelong companion — 60 years side by side and 54 years married. Beloved father of Sarah, Rachel, Louise and Andrew, whose lives were shaped by his patience, his humour and his unwavering love. Cherished father in law to Wez, David, Philip and Judith. Proud grampa to Katie, Adam, Emma, Jack, Jacob, Casey, Olly, Allie and Harper, each of whom he adored. Dear brother of Dermot and the late Malcolm Kidd.

Andy was happiest surrounded by family, sharing stories, offering a helping hand, and finding the humour in any moment. His kindness, loyalty and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A service of thanksgiving for Andy’s life will be held on Friday 13th February at 2.00 p.m. in Antrim and Newtownabbey Crematorium. All welcome.

Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if desired, to Almost Home Animal Sanctuary online via flemingandcuthbert.co.uk or by telephone (028 93344242 Mon - Fri 9.00am – 5.00pm).

Memories have such loving ways of bringing back our yesterdays.
