Called Home September 19th 2026, peacefully at hospital. Late of St Brigids Fold, Glengormley.

Dearly loved husband of Josephine, very much-loved father of Katrina, Colette and Nicola, dear father-in-law of Drew, cherished grandfather of Courtney, Katie, Nathan, Lucy and Olivia.

Everyone is welcome to meet the family and pay their respects at St Brigids Fold common room on Wednesday 23rd September between 4.00pm and 7.00pm.

A Service of Thanksgiving will be held in Carnmoney Parish Church on Thursday 24th September at 11.30am, followed by a private interment.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to the Macmillan Unit, Antrim Area Hospital online via flemingandcuthbert.co.uk or by telephone (028 9334 4242 Mon – Fri 9.00am – 5.00pm).

Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by the family circle.

Tired and weary you made no fuss, you tried so hard to stay with us. God closed your eyes and gave you rest, for He alone knows what is best.

The Macmillan Unit, Antrim Area Hospital

The Macmillan Unit, located on the Antrim Area Hospital site, is an inpatient unit providing accommodation to care for 12 adult patients with complex specialist palliative care needs. It provides specialist palliative care to patients with life-limiting conditions such as advanced cancer, advanced respiratory disease, Motor Neurone disease, renal failure and heart failure. The focus of care is to enhance quality of life and offer a holistic approach to care through a wide range of services, including specialist clinical assessment and symptom management, rehabilitation, emotional and social support, practical help, complementary therapies and complex respite care.
